Ritual, meaning & human presence
Some moments ask to be marked. A ceremony gives us time to recognise what is happening, gather the people who matter, and give words and form to what the heart already knows.

Weddings & commitments
A wedding brings two lives, two families and many stories into one shared moment. Jewish tradition offers a rich language of blessing, covenant, joy and home. Each couple brings their own history, culture, faith and hopes.
Together we shape the words and symbols, prepare for the day and give thoughtful attention to the commitment being made. Jewish, interfaith, intercultural and same-sex couples are warmly welcome. Commitment ceremonies, vow renewals and anniversaries are also welcome.
Naming & coming of age
I conduct baby namings and welcoming ceremonies, drawing on Jewish tradition while making room for each family’s story. A naming can also mark adoption, joining a new family or receiving a Hebrew name.
Bar, Bat and B’nei Mitzvah preparation and ceremonies are shaped around the young person, their questions, abilities and place within family and community.
Farewell & remembrance
When someone dies, people need a place for grief, memory, gratitude and love. I accompany families in preparing funerals, memorials, unveilings, yahrzeit observances and private rituals of remembrance.
We speak about the life lived, the relationships formed and the stories that remain, so that farewell can honour a person with dignity.
Family rituals & pastoral conversations
Grief, illness, separation, relocation and spiritual questions may call for a conversation held with care. I bring my experience as a rabbi and chaplain, close listening and respect for the person before me.
House blessings, mezuzah ceremonies and rituals for family transitions can give expression to a new chapter. Conversations may take place online or in person.
Consultations
I offer consultations to individuals, couples, families, NGOs and faith-based communities seeking thoughtful guidance on spiritual, relational or communal questions.
Who can benefit?
- Interfaith couples and families exploring religious differences, shared values, rituals and family life.
- People considering a spiritual path, deepening their Jewish learning or exploring conversion to Judaism.
- Individuals navigating identity, belonging, purpose or a significant life transition.
- NGOs and faith-based communities working through leadership, ethics, interfaith engagement or community relationships.
Where useful, consultations can include facilitated dialogue to help those involved understand one another and consider constructive ways forward. We agree on the purpose, scope and confidentiality of the work beforehand.
For those exploring conversion, a consultation provides guidance on learning and possible pathways; any formal conversion follows the requirements of the relevant rabbinic authority.
Community & interfaith work
I also facilitate retreats, community conversations and encounters across traditions. Together we explore shared purpose, identity, leadership and the relationships through which trust can grow.
Every engagement begins with a conversation
We discuss the occasion, the people involved, appropriate practice, availability, fees and travel. For weddings, legal registration arrangements are clarified separately before booking.
